Eastern Australia and Its Famous Tourist Destinations

The Blue Mountains lie west of Sydney, and this is a rugged terrain of rainforests and tall mountain peaks. The Katoomba Scenic Railway is one place you can go to see the steepest funicular railway in the world.

There are seventy four inhabited islands in Australia’s eastern coast known as Whitsunday Islands. There are many rainforests and white sand beaches in these islands. A few meters away from the Great Barrier Reef, these islands is a place of great landscapes and beautiful sunsets. This is famous for its Clipper Race Carnival which is yacht-watching events, and have a great seafood experience.

You can also visit Daintree Rainforest which is chosen as a Unesco World Heritage site located on the north east coast of Queensland. This is the largest continuous tropical rainforest in Australia. In this site lives the Kuku Yalanhi people. Here you can visit the Daintree Discovery Center with its aerial walkway. If you want some quiet time along the beautiful coast, visit the Mysall Beach.
